Dr. Herbert Gray recently was appointed as Falmouth Hospital's Medical Director. In addition, Dr. Gray will continue as the Chief of Emergency Medicine, a post he assumed on joining the Falmouth Hospital medical staff in January 1997. Dr. Gray is also a member of the Advisory Board of To Your Good Health, A Health Care Newsletter.


Community Health Center of Cape Cod in Bourne has named Dr. James P. McGuire, a child psychiatrist, and Lisa K. Tager, LICSW, a clinical social worker, to the staff of the Family Resource Center for Behavioral Health. The Family Resource Center provides child psychiatry; child, adolescent and family counseling; assessment; and referral services to children and young people up to age 23 and their families.


The law firm of Surprenant & Beneski, P.C., has relocated its Cape office from Mashpee to 336 South Street in Hyannis. It will continue to maintain its main location in New Bedford.


Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston with clinics in Sandwich and Yarmouth has received a 2009 Business of Excellence Award from the Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce.


Aspen Dental, a national provider of denture and dental services, has opened its first office on Cape Cod in Hyannis. The office, which will employ about 10 staff members, works with all insurance providers and accepts walk-in patients. Call 508-790-0202 for an appointment or information.


Cape Cod Healthcare has received a $15,000 donation from TD Banknorth in support of the VNA Child Care Center in Falmouth’s Playground Renovation Project.


Overlook Visiting Nurse Association & Hospice Services of Mashpee and Yarmouth has announced a merger with C.A.R.E. LLC (Consultation, Advocacy and Resources for Elders). Overlook is a not-for-profit home health care agency affiliated with Masonic Health System.
