Calls ‘Government Health’ A Sick Idea

To The Editor:
…Your Fall 2008 issue of To Your Good Health…appears to be devoted to the concept of “government health” to the complete detriment and destruction of the private sector. It would seem that the American people, if your articles are followed, are dying to have the government take over what is a “failed healthcare system.”….

No, government increasing its participation in the healthcare field will only lead to more problems, and the cost will be astronomical! Consider that all the projections made prior to any of the healthcare initiatives have fallen far short of what the actual cost has become. The drug bill is the latest fiasco in this saga.

A single-payer approach denies competition completely…

When will we learn from history, which keeps repeating the same warning [from Ronald Reagan] time after time, “Government is not the solution, government is the problem?” Less government, less regulation and a truly market driven economy in healthcare and we would all be better off!
